History of Prey Veng

Prey Veng has one of the longest continuously inhabited histories in Cambodia with evidence of Funan-era settlement along the Mekong. The province was historically part of the ancient kingdom of Prey Nokor which later became Saigon under Vietnamese control in the 17th century.
